Calling a telephone helpline has been shown to help smokers quit. Although it depends how good the advisor you speak to is.
The best advice is to set up a number of regular calls with a stop smoking advisor. If possible, try to speak to the same person each time. If you can't get out to see your local stop smoking advisor, or don't have the time, this could be a helpful alternative.
