This is where you decide to change your whole identity, not just in terms of smoking, but in many other ways as well.
You may decide that you want to change your whole lifestyle. This could include eating a healthier diet, exercising more, stopping drinking etc. There is evidence to suggest that if you do adopt a healthier lifestyle in general it will help you give up smoking. But it is by no means necessary to change your whole identity in order to give up smoking.
