Eating healthy snacks after you stop smoking can be a good way to help limit your weight gain. Most people gain weight when they give up cigarettes because nicotine suppresses the appetite. So carrying around some healthy snacks can be a way to satisfy your hunger without eating too many calories.
Fruit is a terrific healthy snack. Be careful of cereal bars because they can contain a lot of calories. Carrots are particularly good because they are healthy and quite sweet. The best advice is to carry snacks with you wherever you go so you can eat them between meals, whenever you feel hungry.
