Aversive smoking is when you smoke in order to make yourself feel sick. This is done by either smoking more cigarettes than you would usually smoke, or by puffing much harder than you usually would.
Aversive smoking can be used when you are quitting abruptly. The idea is to smoke a few cigarettes really hard just before you quit so your last memory of smoking is an unpleasant one.
