There are different mental exercises you can do that may help you combat your cravings.
One mental exercise you might want to try is called 're-imagining'. When you get a craving for a cigarette you can actually imagine smoking a cigarette. Go through it in detail, from pulling the cigarette out of the packet to stubbing it out. And then imagine how you would feel after having given into your cravings - how bad giving up on your commitment to stop smoking will feel. This could help you realise how important giving up smoking is for you.
