Description

Physical activity is a very effective way of reducing cravings. Getting active only helps for a short period of time - it doesn't get rid of your cravings long-term - but it is a very useful tool nonetheless. Exercise can also help keep your weight down after you stop smoking.

How best to use it

If you are experiencing strong cravings and you're able out for a brisk walk or a jog, it will almost certainly help reduce your desire for a cigarette. If you experience cravings at the same times each day, it might be worth thinking about whether you can exercise during these difficult periods.
