Champix is one of the most effective pills on the market to help you stop smoking. It works by blocking nicotine from reaching the receptors in your brain, reducing your cravings for cigarettes.

Champix is usually taken for 12 weeks, beginning a week before your quit date. If you manage to get through the 12 weeks without smoking then you can stop taking it. On the other hand, if you didn't manage to stop for the first few weeks of taking Champix then research suggests it would be a good idea to keep taking it for a further 12 weeks (making a total of 24 weeks).
